Robert Pollard
DipDentTech, PGDCDT (Otago)
Implant Prosthesist
Rob is the Clinical Dental Technician with a Post Graduate Diploma and has 20 years’ experience. His scope of practice includes implant dentures, conventional and partial dentures and he enjoys working with many of Auckland’s leading Oral Maxillofacial and Periodontal surgeons producing an implant service that is second to none.

Rob finds it exciting to be part of a team dealing with some very complicated procedures and also very satisfying to have the ability to replace failing teeth with artificial teeth in a few hours. Rob will often coordinate denture modifications with other dental practices, hospital surgeons and Specialists with whom the practice has great working relationships.

Rob has been Chairman of the local Ellerslie Business Association for over 15 years and has seen the sleepy town become a thriving business hub and residential area, which is the reason he has continued to practise in Ellerslie for over 17 years.

Janith Gayan
Dentist
Dr Janith graduated as a dentist from the University of Peradiniya, Sri Lanka and has got more than 10 years of experience in the field of dentistry. He moved to New Zealand and followed a course in Health Science at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

He completed courses for overseas trained dentists in Australis including courses at the University of Melbourne and successfully passed the Australian overseas dental registration examination to obtain the registration as a dentist in Australia and New Zealand.

Outside of work Dr Janith likes to stay fit and healthy and in his spare time, he loves to explore different types of cuisines. His priority is always patient’s care and comfort and he is also known for his gentle nature.

Michael Ralm

Dental Hygienist
Michael graduated from the University of Otago, School of Dentistry.

Michael’s aim is to establish a positive relationship with his patients and focus on educating them in good oral health practices, ensuring they are able to take control of their oral health which in turn improves overall general health and wellbeing. Michael helps nervous or anxious patients by explaining each step of the dental hygiene process so there is no need to fear the unknown. He enjoys working within a team environment and regularly attends dental seminars staying up to date with dental hygiene developments.

When not in the surgery Michael enjoys going to the gym, practicing his golf swing and socialising.

Frances Garnham
DipDentHyg (Otago)
Dental Hygienist
Frances has been involved in the dental industry for over 25 years. After working as a Dental Assistant for a number of years, she headed to Otago University to gain her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1999.

In her role as a Dental Hygienist, Frances is very passionate about helping people achieve optimum oral health. Her patients can expect a one-on-one, personalised experience where quality of care and patient education are top priorities. She likes to help her patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visit, so they can enjoy their experience and leave with a beautiful healthy smile.

When not at work, Frances can often be found spending time with her granddaughter or travelling overseas.
